As one of the last tracts of natural bushland near Launceston City, we are blessed with abundant wildlife here - wallabies, pademelons, potoroos, echidnas, possums and deer. Many different birds also live here - honey-eaters, wattle birds, kookaburras and finches, just to name a few. A flock of yellow-tailed black cockatoos often sweep across the trees, feeding on the banksias, while the endangered wedge-tailed eagles can be seen frequently gliding the air currents above the property. Our favourites are the tiny little cute pardalotes & colourful fairy-wrens that take shelter in our hydrangea and rose bushes.
